DIFFERENT TYPES OF LEAD MAGNET

Most articles, blog posts and tutorials focus on only one type of Lead Magnet, and as a result imply that all Lead Magnets need to be short, easily consumed pieces of "instant gratification".

And while that may be true for the Lead Magnets you most commonly come across on websites; it's not true for all Lead Magnets. There are other important uses of Lead Magnets, for example you might proactively contact a high potential prospect to offer your lead magnet, where something much more in depth will have a bigger impact.

In this video I review the different three key types of Lead Magnet and how to match them with your client types and business model:

  • "Website" Lead Magnets: short, easy to consume, instant gratification. Primarily for "one to many" clients.
  • "Outbound" Lead Magnets. A more in depth Lead Magnet you reach out to offer high potential clients in "one to few" situations. Your goal is to build significant credibility with someone who could become a very big client for you.
  • "Tailored" Lead Magnets. For a super high potential client you may go as far as tailoring a Lead Magnet specifically for them and presenting it in person.
